My Ghost - A spontaneous write unmetered

I met a ghost last night
He said that he was me
From a previous life
I shuddered in fear
And tried to free myself
But he hung on right there

How can you be afraid
Of yourself - silly lady
I am a ghost from your past
I have been visiting you
Regularly without
Your knowing it

By this time I was pale
Really scared, but he said
Hey you're looking like me
Now you're whiter than I
Take it easy very soon
You'll pay visits like me

I began perspiring
Rather profusely
I could feel the beads
Of sweat roll down my cheeks
Or were there tears too?
I woke up with a start!!
