Birth of Poetry

Words are used as clay
And wills served as spray
With feelings mixed
Symbols, similes fixed
Images and cliches
Get moulded and kneaded
Ideas have a honeymoon
Bedded with grammar
With all skills and crafts
Of a poetic endeavor
Albeit with a great manoeuvre…

Well conceived by a soft heart
Fertilized by imagination
Caressed by an agile mind
The fetus grows up matured
Writhing then gets out-poured
So do exorbitant feelings
And out comes a poem
With a message to share
Experiences, left to be felt
Of labour pain so unbearable,
And they feel great happiness
Over the birth of poetry!
