Two passionate hands
embodiment of energy
dawn unto dusk initiating
with tenderness, tenacity

Two dainty hands reaching out
in warm embrace
offering solace in
the mundane social realm

Two sturdy hands that
keep kitchen fires burning
work overtime unconditionally
burned, bruised, never giving up.

Two tending hands
that rush to console,
comfort wounded hearts
keep spirits sound.

Two soothing hands
that nurse the child and invalid
with tender care and love
Illness has no choice but to leave.

Two little hands
as wood and glue
hold individuals together
synthesizing with intuition

Two frail hands
worn and withered
collapsed having served -
epitome of simplicity and virtue
I stand before you with folded hands....
