It is raining here this day;
raining apples.
Fresh fruit thrown from friendly figures;
gentle providers of life's sweet nourishment.

There are no serpents here;
Nothing to spoil this day.
None dare enter her realm.

As I sleep, I await my destiny.

Shuffling leaves disturb my dreams;
a shimmering vision appears.

Smiling.

A translucent presence tinged with green;
a dryad stepped from a titan's trunk.

From her outstretched arms an apple descends;
into the palm of my hand.

Aphrodite has smiled on me this day.
