A Windfall

Oh, what is all this!
The very look of you
has filled my calm sea with ripples,
my small sailboat now rocks
and is ready to ferry me
to unknown far away shores.

The melody in your smiles
has flooded my dry river,
the leafless tree of mine
is now full of new leaves
and the birds hide behind buds and flowers.

The rays from your eyes
have dispelled the darkness of my million nights,
and thousand suns rise on my horizon
with unknown colours to fill my skies,
the chirrups of the birds are the chants of the sages,
are you the poet to fill with your songs all my pages!
