  I sat to pen a poem,
At a spot far from mayhem,
But the pen stopped to budge,
And the thoughts flew off in grudge.

I still tried, to the best I can,
Though the mind was refusing to scan
The words failed to drive home the point,
And I refused to leave that 'joint'
.
