Theme: Haiku

Hanging bridge . . .
the pot water wobbling
on her hip

Autumn sky . . .
patches of twilight
in the falling leaf

In the aquarium
stillness of the goldfish . . .
autumn dusk

Kite sky . . .
the clamour of children
fading with it

Uphill walking . . .
she takes me into
winter clouds

Comment Dear Dipankardas Gupta,

Thanks for the appreciation, you comments made my day.

I have about 150 international haiku publications across 11 countries to my credit and not the single haiku follows 5-7-5 rule.

It applies only to Japanese language and when used in English, it forces the poet to add unnecessary words resulting in loss of nature essence.

Contemporary Haiku in English has evolved a long way to one line Haiku with greater than 9 syllables now.

Thanks once again for your lovely comments.

I believe you will enjoy going through my Haiku blog,

Ramesh Anand

Enjoyed every one of them
Last's best -- then the first ...

You don't like the 5-75 rule? Not that it matters.

Keep this going.
