Carrying Home in Two Suitcases

32 inches and 32 kgs each - two suitcases
to be packed with needs. Boston will be cold,
Emerson hectic; until next summer
you won't get leave.

Think of things you require settling down.
Pick up preferences from flavors of the land.
Take some packs of tea from Assam - leave
out Basmati. Remove pickled mango,
accommodate all shoes; two sarees,
a salwar- suit will do. The new rain-jacket
is more useful; let go of the old sweater
I knitted for you. Take out photo albums '
make room for CDs.

Don't fret for favorites; don't squeeze your space.
The aura of your home will tag along
without any weight.
