Liberation

by Kulbir Bhalla

Entrapment is birth,
And life on earth;
Liberation is death -
Being out of breath.

Liberation from the human scene -
How corrupt and mean!
Liberation from vanity,
And mass insanity.

Liberation from peers,
And foolish fears;
Liberation from ties,
And a life of lies.

Entrapment is birth,
And life on earth;
Liberation is death -
Being out of breath.

Liberation from a body which
Continues to bitch;
Liberation from diseases,
Aches and sneezes.

Liberation from space,
And this rat-race;
Liberation from time -
How sublime!

Entrapment is birth,
And life on earth;
Liberation is death -
Being out of breath.
