We have collectively charted out,
A New Year wish list that's not too long.
We most certainly are in need of
A Parliament that will fuction, to
Ensure more effective governance,
Root out all the rampant corruption,
Implement stricter laws against rape,
Protect women's rights and their safety,
Bring speedier handling of court cases.
At the risk of using a cliche:
Justice delayed is justice denied
This may just sound like a tall order
But a beginning needs to be made
And what better time than the New Year!
