I was taken by surprise,
when asked the birds
who taught you to sing so sweet,
the cuckoo, the myna, the blackbird,
the robin, the parrot and the sparrow
tweeted in a chorus, ‘It is He.’
Busy bees on the flowers,
butterflies on their wings,
the lotus in the pond,
in the sky the clouds,
the ripples in the streams
and waves in the sea –
all had praise for the unseen you
to reaffirm, ‘We love to work for Him.’
Why then I have so many doubts
about your existence and your whereabouts?
No one in nature except man tells lies;
shall I then be a wise liar or believe my ears and eyes? |

Dr. Mallick. Beautiful poem. On the last line, you remind me of Gurbani which says, "Jo Disse So Challanhaar" and Bible - "What you 'see' and 'hear' is subject to change." Thus what is beyond the comprehension is "That" - "Par Brahm Parmeshwar".
