I See You

  I see you.

Dark angel of my dreams; as you drag my
Atrophying corpse through the fading remains of my
Memories; and the frozen history of my life shatters
Into icicle fragments at your cold touch;
Which hang from your ceiling of stolen thoughts.

Your flapping wings of darkness bring night
To my day, and colour my world in monochrome
Patterns of abject despair; which transform into cloaked
Skeletons, brandishing scythes of doom;
Grinning cold welcome to their mistress of the dark.

As my spirit screams out to nobody who cares, in this void
Of silence, your razor talons tear my shaking soul
Into shreds of nonexistence.
As its final cry echoes in your ears;
My smiling slaughterer;

Crying out for its creator/mother, like the trusting
Lamb, slain at your altar of lost lives.
