With the noose tightened
and a hanging lever
pulled to lighten
a very long heavy burden,
Hydra-headed terror,
omnipresent
in every nook and corner
inside, outside
in some form or the other,
lost one more face
from its darkest dungeon.

The guilty has gone away
undaunted,
leaving us terrified,
terrorized,

also badly bereaved,
and aggrieved;

blood-red tears welled up
in drooping eyes
of traumatised humanity.
