The Moon Child

  When you took me
Into your arms
In an unknown silence
I started weaving
The moon’s rays
A pattern into which
I poured my breath
Coming alive the moon child
Moved softly and brightly
Into me
Doubling itself in my eyes
And settling in my heart
Like an unheard tune
To which I sway
I hold it close
To my soul lest it melts away!
