Theme: Hope

Despair and Hope - God's Response

Despair…

I stood there like a stone
I know not for how long alone…

My little world lay
In shambles around me.
Debris, rubble and ruin
Were all I could see …

I could feel unshed tears
Welling up in my eyes.
A feeling of emptiness
Was all I could realize …

My dreams – shattered.
My hopes - battered.
My life - tattered
Lost - all that mattered…

And then I heard footsteps –
Footsteps of death –
A death that’d be
A release from it all…!

Hope - God’s Response

Down in an inky pool on a dark night
A fish leapt with a splash of silver light.
Life is that long, a splash of colors bright
So my dear, don’t ever wonder about your plight!

You heard footsteps – those of a death,
The death that is a release,
The death of a past not wholesome,
Of inane thoughts – a relieving death.

You did get from life something
That you still give out to others.
Your heart, mind and friendship
Which you can’t unless you’re given...

Here and now from me you hear,
You’ve borne all you can ever bear.
Told you once, you’ll see better days
And those days, your days are here.

So footsteps if you do hear
And feel someone drawing near,
Be not complacent, my dear
For it’s a new chapter from here..!
