One foggy winter the prince was on his way to some far off land
Was awestruck at the noblest serenity of the cloudy band
For he was all alone on the asphalted road
Driving his wagon at the easiest mode.

A little sparrow, a
parrot, a peacock and a cuckoo,
Showed him the way to the princess's castle below,

He could see her hair and rosy cheeks through the pane,
All he could remember what he since childhood adored.

This was what one foggy winter he could see,
since that day he aspired to have her as his she
.
