My Brother Sukhbir

  Spring is a season
When flowers bloom,
But I have a reason
To relive gloom.

You left us
In early spring;
You left us
Your diamond ring.

You left memories,
Which time can’t wipe;
Lifelong memories,
Still raw, not ripe.

Spring is a season
When flowers bloom,
But I have a reason
To relive gloom.

How can I rejoice,
Brother dear,
When your voice
I can’t hear?

How can I reveal
That I still weep?
How can I heal
A wound that’s deep?

Spring is a season
When flowers bloom,
But I have a reason
To relive gloom.

I still grieve,
Feel sad and blue,
But now I believe
The truth about you.

You never died,
Tells my caretaker:
You now abide
With our maker.
