Chris Gayle - On Demolition Mode

Mr. ‘Supreme Blaster’ Chris Gayle
Went about his ‘Operation Impale’,
Making all bowling seem absurd
On this April, the twenty third,
And held Pune Warriors without bail...

His 175 n.o. and 17 sixers galore
Were made of the stuff of folklore.
His demeanour was calm and cool,
His bat worked like a demolition tool,
That left the crowds asking for more...

In the days ahead,
IPL teams see red,
As Gayle seems unstoppable
And of much more is capable,
All worked out in his head...

Padmajaji,
One of the first things I did this morning was to print a copy of your lovable poem and give it to a West Indian colleague. Later, I shared it with another West Indian. Keep up your adorable verses!

Thanks Kulbir. I'm so happy that you like it because I wrote especially because of your encouragement. In fact, I've added another stanza like this which I'm unable to add here as the poem has been locked by the editor:

As he tore into their bowling,
Pune Warriors were left yowling.
Many a record was torn to smithereens
As balls flew all over n above sight screens.
Spectators were merry and howling...
