The Invincible Wall

Rahul Dravid, the invincible Wall
Stood firm, determined and tall,
Playing some classic cricket shots
That had some sixes and fours in lots.
 
‘Reinventing’ fits him to a T.
And it is there for all to see
The way at the age of forty,
He flies the balls on a sortie!
 
He proves that class is permanent
On the cricketing or any firmament.
Whether Test, One Day or T-20
He has proved his talents aplenty.
 
His cool leadership skills -
Many a heart with pride fills,
As all opposition it kills
And dissent if any, it stills.
 
Carry on, Mr. Rahul Dravid
For your fans like me avid.
Here’s wishing you the very best
Let your laurels with IPL-6 not rest.
 
I am sure, the coming years
Will see you joining your peers
As an expert cricket presenter
And an erudite commentator.
