Lender of the Last Resort

The couple seemed quite happy,
Except for a glaring deficiency,
That they did not have a child
As years to their age got piled.

The wife in an effort last ditch,
To please her husband any which,
Quietly visited a well known seer
Who put to rest her worst fear.

Within a month of her visit clandestine
To the Baba, who had powers “divine”,
The couple were at last, thrilled to know
That they will soon be having a kid in tow.

The following year saw the happiness of the couple,
Enhanced to a dramatic and an unexpected double,
When they were blessed with a girl and a boy,
A pair of twins that brought them much joy!

The Baba continues to “bless”
Hordes of women childless,
As their quiet and willing consort,
As their lender of the last resort!
