The Breath that Fills my Soul

  Our home has lost its centre
and now is but a shell;
no life, no warmth,
no comfort for the heart.

My soul aches
and has gone in search of you.
How can this man exist
without his beloved?

Leave this shell, oh soul!
Take flight and be no longer
bound within this mortal frame
that keeps you from her side.

If you ask me why,
I can say no more than,
"My beloved is the breath
that fills my soul."
