Long time back, I took your hand on this day,
And made a vow, never to leave it any day,
You gave me bliss in plenty all the while,
And time flew off with you in great style.
You twice gifted me -- the sun and the moon,
Who filled our cups -- full and soon,
You transplanted your love and humanity in them,
Which soon got rooted and blossomed in them.
The journey with you was a pleasure through and through,
And with time, it only brew and grew,
How can I thank you for all that you gave,
Can only plead with God for health till our grave.
