Last night when I saw your face,
I was shattered, completely shocked,
Wanted to give you a warm embrace,
Life has played a game and mocked.
Never seen you in so much pain,
My heart bled each time you sighed,
Your eyes were driving me insane,
Whole night my eyes silently cried.
Wish I could hold you once in my arms,
Your huge beard, messy hair, moist eyes,
Destiny caused us irreparable harms,
In this misfortune, the harsh reality lies.
You are my Jesus Christ, whom I worship,
Every breath of mine takes your name,
Life is now a battle, a drowning ship,
Let's fight it out together to survive in this game.
No matter what comes I’ll love you always,
With every bit of my broken heart,
I’ll burn myself but never stop the love’s blaze,
Even if in every crossroad we have to part! |

Very emotional is your poem, Rupa. Besides the content, the composition is great - lovely choice of words and good rhyme. Thank you, dear.

thanks a lot Bhaskar ji!
Padmaja Ji, my heartfelt thanks to you, for your honest opinion..sometimes life is so uncertain and unpredictable that everything falls out of place, we are left numb-founded. But yes, life goes on.

Not being too sentimental or romantic, I'm truly amazed by the lengths one goes for love! Much liked this one as a poem though could not identify much with the feelings and sentiments...I believe, life is all about moving on and finding new paths...Sorry for the candour Rupradha. Respect your sentiments.
