Until You

The desert of my life was arid and lank
Until you came and filled an oasis,
The shores of my eyes were empty and blank
Until you arrived and gave them bliss.
The canvas of my mind was unfilled and white
Until you painted your thoughts and colored it,
The core of my heart was as dark as night,
Until you brightened up every corner of it!
The petals of my lips were thirsty and parched
Until you touched them and wrote your name,
The ultimate love everywhere I had searched,
Until you lit up your love’s eternal flame! |
