Song of Hope

Song of Hope – Shernaz

doors and windows rattle
chilling gusts enter through chinks
as huddled under blankets, I listen
to lashing rain and thrashing wind
the only guests on this April dawn...

Few souls stir out in such fury.

Then I hear it. Faint at first,
slowly swelling in sweetness
- the thrush’s song of joy and hope

Song of Hope – Avril

In the world of chaos around me,
with uninvited thoughts filling my mind,
I can only pray that
my own inner space
will always be filled with light and joy
and that all of mankind
will drink from the well
of love and compassion
so freely given by the Creator of all.

Tapestry

so that all mankind
may freely drink
from this well of love and compassion
given by the Creator of all.
