Stop Lights

Red light on each crossway
and jammed traffic

Life must travail as duty
trudge to reach
another red light
and jammed traffic

Mirages reflect images
run as chased
Wait on the other side
of red light
and jammed traffic

Mirages consume lives
shatter many dreams
Shattered mirrors reflect many images

Friends met
disappeared on crossways
never to cross way
ever again

Love had crossed on amber
