Theme: Tanka

Hide and Seek

Death knocked at my door
When I was out to get it
Our paths never crossed
In this game of hide and seek
And I keep yearning for you...

Comment Thank you all for your concern, care, love and appreciation Nairji, Kingshuk, Rupradha and Bhaskarji. Surprizingly, all of you have seen the first part of the Tanka on Death, but what about the second part - my maiden attempt at being romantic :-)))??
This one also conforms to the 5/7/5/7/7 syllable rule for Tanka. Also, first three line form a unit and 3rd to 5th lines form another unit. Gotcha:-)))

Comment Neither in your mind
Nor at your door
Death should stay sway
When life has much in store.
Keep writing, keep illuminating the world........ Padmaja!
