Behind That Cool Smile...

by Prof. Siva Prasad Peddi

Look back
Into that old reel
Life never
Was all that cool

Ups and downs
Lows and highs
Reminiscences of the past
Mounting responsibilities

Restricted solutions
Surmounting problems
Utter failures
Random happiness

Success stories
Bitter bereavements
New entrants’
Big responsibilities

Composed portrayal
Social artificiality
To apparently appear
Cool and composed

Like the gush air released
From a punctured balloon
Giving a cold feeling
To all those outsiders

The matter inside
The compression within
And the reality
Only friends can note!
