An Honest Word

How scary it may be for me
To wake up from a pleasant dream
Thinking I am worthy of a prince
To think he heard my lonely screams …

Open your eyes and finally see!

An honest word your world shakes
And paper castle in a flash breaks
And naked stand you
For the world to see
That you’ve been living in a fantasy

That lonely ray of light I thank
Thought in the moment my heart breaks
And though reality may seem cruel
I still consider it to be cool

Thank God for change life brings about
That gives me hope that I still count
Those honest words I could not live without
