Blue Pin Cushion

Picking pins
on pin cushions
is inversely painful.
No shrieks, no minor
drops of blood
not even a change
on the slant of smile.

Withdrawn from
the cushion of life
I may not even be lifeless
for each hole
I leave
my wound is made.
