Why Torture?

Listen to the tragic story and tears may start
I cried and cried, my heart falling apart

To get the secret they give pain and stress
hammer nails in the body, make it a mess
they tease and torment with a nasty wire
poking in the flesh pains like electric fire

Force of compassion I wish to impart
I cried and cried, my heart falling apart

The war and terror of worms near the wound
they shout and laugh loudly, moving around
tears and blood boiling but there is no sound
pain miserable pain, oh pause! No bound

Still no secret from your tongue shall depart
I cried and cried, my heart falling apart

Melting burns reaching bones, what a scorcher!
Oh God! Why do you allow this torture?
Wind from Satan is a sadistic breath
Take away your gift of life, worse than death

Tough to drag sympathy out of cold heart
I cried and cried, my heart falling apart
