Why did You Promise Me?

The day when you promised me Strangely the day when you lied, feeling rejected, dejected for the first time unstoppably I cried. Sad thought! Was it a mistake? Was it a crime to seek lively pleasure? For it was not by earthly measure, but it was only you with whom spiritually I was caught. That halcyon day when I felt like going to church to pray, will never ever come again; might be the reason of lasting pain. Nobody comes, nobody goes, every passing vehicular sound reminds me of my wounded sorrows. I go rushing to see whether you've come. Alas! Why did you promise me?

Well expressed ... most of the times promises are made to be broken ... need to accept the fact even though it hurts .. nice poem. Thanks for sharing.
