  As more I love you
As more I see you higher
So much more I see you true, my love.
As much I lower you
So much I know you less
Often I lose you
Often I remember you with an effort
In these days of spring
My mind has blossomed like a flower
I am dreaming a wonderful dream '
The world has disappeared
Nothing can be seen
There is only a vast sea
There are no days nor nights nor minutes
Only perilous waters standing still
In its midst like a lotus
You are floating in full bloom
Eternal and essence of love the king of kings
Is seeing himself mirrored in you.

Translation of the sonnet Dhyan from the collection Chaitali (The Summer Harvest) by Rabindranath Tagore. The original poem in Bengali script may be viewed at
