Special Eyesight

  God granted me last night
Special super-fine eyesight
That excelled the range
Of the best electron microscope

I was thrilled and looked around
Nothing at all solid was found
No familiar names and forms
Not anything known as things
Particles flew in empty space
Pervaded by a Rontgen glow

I still felt I had a body
But it was of no avail
My face with an ugly scar
That had eaten deep and deep
Into my sinking self-esteem
And made me suffer misery
Was no more there for me to see

The buxom beauties
That walked the ramps
At the world beauty pageant
Were just conglomerates
Indistinct from one another
Of flashing points
And no different
From the beggar women
In utter tatters
That walk our city streets

No one had any reason
To feel any different
And removed from one another
No more wars
The borders have gone
No more sickness
The organs too have gone

Everything was nothing but
Flashing particles flying
In a fluorescent mist of light
No sun no moon not a star
No ground at all to stand upon

Hung helpless in that void
I cried out to the supreme Lord
Please give me my ignorance back
With my familiar vision range
So I see my forms with names

I heard God laugh and thunder
Who said your ignorance is asunder
Just be there and watch the fun
You are going to wrap around
One of the particles flying round

Bound you are and limited still
Different from other dots in flight
Your scar will return and you will sink
Again into abysmal grief
In a new world that is filled
With names and forms of your own make
Unless of course you can cease
Your usual blabber of I and mine

Comment That is interesting Shailendra-ji! I myself am an astrologer. But, not of the commercial type. My Jupiter is in Thula with Mercury and Venus. Lagna Simha. Moon in the eighth in Meena. Saturn in Kataka. Mars, Ketu and Sun in Vrischika - so Rahu is in Vrishabha. Now running Moon/Venus/Jupiter. Astrologically, I dont' know why I am writing. The lagna could be wrong. My research says that it is in Kanya. If you are interested, I would send you my horo.

Comment Namaste Nair ji,
Interesting poems you have been penning. I wonder if your brihaspati is in kumbha rashi or has some conjunction/aspect with surya. Would be curious to see your birth chart !!
Guruji - is this all purely an act of nature - Bhagavan says very clearly - "na kartritvam na karmaani no lokasya srijati prabhu na karma phala samyogam svabhavastu pravartate".

regards
Shailendra

Comment I go with the words of RCN. Good imagination, as indicated earlier appropriate words and language, it gives an enriching feeling - while I read your poems.

Comment Deep imagination; appropriate words, make the reading as soothing as a feather-touch. Keep on writing making life enjoyable.

Comment Thanks for sharing. Good thinking. Yes, right; we have no chance with ignorance and the ego still lingering.
