My veins
as crowded as yours
arteries choked
and a takeaway heart.

Maddening blood rush
slices the shore
and fishermen in
calm seas drown.

Like you, I
wait for clots
to road block
my highway of sense

that turns blindly
to the precipice of mediocrity
where humans await
their turns to die.

I can jump the line
but without a trace
to get caught
like you.
