Our zigzag, uncertain life
With imponderables rife,
Needs both pluck and luck
To score a century or a duck!

In life, we win some, lose some
It is *kabhi khushi, kabhi gum!
Nothing in life lasts forever,
So, enjoy it now or never!

*Urdu/Hindi expression meaning “sometimes happiness, sometimes sorrow”
