Love - A Promise or a Compromise

Why is it that love compromises?
Why is it that love understands?
Why is it that love takes the pain?

Is it only because its sweet like honey'
Is it because it's the man's best friend'
Is it because you live for love'

I fell in love, not once but several times
Each time was a new experience
Experience of life, of understanding and of compromising.

I love my parents; it's the art of sharing
I love my husband; it's the art of cherishing
I love my daughter; it's the art of living a life

But then, this love hurts me,
It makes me tense and worried
It makes me possessive and mean

Love is the biggest mystery of life
Love makes you smile and breaks you into tears
But don't make 'love' your life
Just live your life with the essence of love.
