  Between the Lines - Shernaz

unuttered...unexpressed...nomadic
wanting to be heard and seen
through the clash of spoken words

they dangle, soundless, on the edges
of your pretentious sentences
flicker wildly in your desperate eyes

hear us, they plead, reveal us
shrouded in the spaces between
your absurd, clichéd verbosity

Between the Lines - Avril

I read your long-awaited letter
The spaces, empty, white;
a hidden message
beyond my knowing or understanding.

Yet I feel they say so much more
than your written words so full
of love and endearment.
I sense a sadness, or maybe some fear
that you are just unable to share with me.

Between the Lines -Tapestry

I read your long-awaited letter
with sentences so full
of love and endearment.

But I feel a clash between
your absurd, clichéd verbosity and
the spaces, empty, white.

I sense a sadness or maybe some fear
unuttered...unexpressed...nomadic
that you are just unable to share.
It dangles soundless, on the edges
beyond my knowing or understanding.

A shrouded message,
that seems to say so much more,
flickers wildly in desperation,
hidden between
your pretentious, written words
wanting to be seen and heard -
pleading to be revealed ...
