Forgiveness is SO hard
Easier staying pissed
How do you forgive?
When you’ve been betrayed and dissed?

How do you let go of anger and hurt?
When your trust has been badly broken
How do you heal?
When your wounds are gaping open

“You must forgive for YOU” they say
Easier said than done
How do you do that?
When the knife was wielded by a loved one

But that’s the only way it seems
To set healing in motion
To lift the shadows of pain
You must first be your own loved one

Turn those grays into pink rays
And send them to your heart
Bless the lessons you need to learn
Cheers to a wonderful start

Healing has begun
You are on your way
Your wounds will turn into battle scars
Of a brave warrior here to stay

You’ll walk through life with your loving light
And help heal others too
You’ll be a shining example
To want to look up to

Here’s to YOU dear one
