Theme: Humor

Helplessness...

I lie with my mouth agape,
With a pain on my neck’s nape.
With a sad and helpless feeling,
I stare vacantly at the ceiling.

A covered face draws near,
A pair of eyes seems to sear.
I am blinded by a glaring light,
And feel quite helpless to fight.

The whirring and purring sound,
Continues to hound and pound.
My whole being shudders in pain,
Indifference though I try to feign.

Unable to let out even an “Ouch!”
Here am I on a dentist’s couch...
For an experience really chilling,
Go, get yourself a dental filling!

Comment Thank you so much, Ru and Kingshuk for identifying with my woes. Have written two more as I am undergoing a series of dental works and will post them shortly :-)
