Sitting here thinking how much you hurt me
I was almost fool by those meaningless words,
The ones that told me I was beautiful,
Having such a low self esteem, that's exactly
what I needed to hear

I wanted to protect my fragile heart
but you told me it was ok, you would take care
of it, so I gave it all to you.
I trusted you with it, cause you promised
you would never break it

You left it out in the cold, a stranger passed by
and recognized it,
he picked it up and put it where it was warm,
how could I be so blind,
I should have known you would never love me, like you loved her.
