We all love a story; from early days
we stylise characters as good or bad,
whose forms, thoughts and movements, their several ways
assume a reality to be had
within our own, distinct though from, that sways
our hearts and minds; through fiction fact relays.
Myth is but a projection of our lives
idealised, populated with persons
whose soul is principle - their forms life gives,
personified in airless bloodless realms,
yet breathe and bleed, and love and lust, revives,
outshines mortal destiny, one believes.
Mythical characters are such conceptual
beings, in mind embodied principles
of humanity, in books and perceptual
media flatten to silence, receptacles
on shelves or hard discs of things that are factual,
expand their world into our three-dimensional.
