  When you weep laughing,
it is a moment
of grave mirth,
converse is graver
for it begs a question.

A perfect mix of the two
is a melodramatic art
of Shakespearean proportion.
It is, as if wet and dry
thread spills from the same spool.

You can’t tell the wet from
dry part in one hold,
you can only make out
in the thread run.

Dry thread
tells the nature of wet ones
like a monsoon of relief
in the spread of summer suffocation.
