Lotus on the Lake

Lotus on the lake and you
on the surface of my sense
are sights to see in falling rain.
Arms of chair I clasp
the wind begins to shriek
in fear I let them go.
This pain irrigates dry eyes
I’ll reap a bumper crop
of moments spent with you.
Loud clouds' vulgar thunder
breaks the silver lining
of days I call bygone.
Saw a sea of suffering,
watched tides lose face in queue
as though a farce by you.
A flash beyond the mountain
brings unknown fear across
for temples in decay and all of you in me. |
