I could swim against
the strongest tides
protect myself
from thunderstorms
and earthquakes
diseases
robbers
ferocious
wild animals
I could stand
before
a hostile wind
venture
into a dark maze
of woods
and still
find my
way home
it is words,
poetry, sunsets,
a deep
blue silk voice
mountain scents
someone’s smile, eyes
that I have
no
defences
against.
