How Silly

You’re my love tonight
you know me like your body

Will you bother to say hello tomorrow
if we meet in the street
alone like this?

Just as I like your frisette
you like my male smell,
you say. Will you clutch
my hands like this tomorrow
if I meet and say I’m hungry?

How silly, darling, go and wash,
your mouth smells of pubic hair

Comment I agree with you, Bill. And, I have made the correction you have suggested. Thanks for your very empathetic reading and response.

Comment The gaps that open between physical intimacy and emotional intimacy or (dare I say it?) spiritual intimacy most effectively caught. One suggestion, if I may. Line 2 is a bit awkward and open to misreading as it stands. Maybe

You're my love tonight
you knows me as you know
your body

A few more words but, as long as each one contributes, not wordier.

Bill
