We each of us has a world
assumed in its realisation
as universal, but one created
by our affections – that makes it
personal.

We assume what we know is
as it is – our life depends on
certainty, this defined in
a common form, also
personal.

For as our affections
determine, defining reality
out of perception, so
we make judgments, but
personal.

Particularly so is that formed
of people, where affection
focuses, and identifies
what we know in terms
personal.

Who we like or dislike is
as formed in our affections,
their basis is objective, even
as universal love is
personal.
