Theme: Mother

Mother

Mother 31.jpg
Oh Mother!
I remember how you
enfolded me
in your tight embrace,
with soft kisses and lullabies.

I remember you
as you taught me to be
firm as rock.

I remember you
as you rendered lessons of love and piety
to bear with anything that comes my way.

You shared with me,
the secrets of motherhood,
joys of a wife.

How sweetly you
taught me to drink the worldly poison
as a friendly wine

How much I owe you Mother.

I whisper your words,
Learnt your secrets
I know the purpose of my life.
This has added color and zest to my life
