Jagged Edges

Too stifling
inside the boat
outside
waves of hopelessness
in unending sea

Noah's ark is no home
nor an island
promise of Eden

It's only dead dreams
floating or flying
for a short break

I too would end
repeating the same myth
on whirling jagged edges
