A Song On A Spruce

A song on a spruce
A robin is singing -
What joy it's bringing
To a recluse!

A musical treat,
It's spreading cheer
To all those near
With a song so sweet.

A song so sublime,
Almost like a prayer,
It reverberates thru the air
With its rhythm and rhyme.

I take my time
To savor its song;
It makes it long,
And more sublime.

I thank the little bird
For coming my way
And making my day;
Its song was heard.
